Galactoscope
Breast tube endoscope is also called electronic breast fiber endoscope. Breast tube endoscopy is to insert an endoscope with a diameter of 0.7mm from the breast duct opening, and probe into the end of the breast tube while observing the situation in the breast duct through the medical monitor, so as to reach the fourth or fifth grade breast tube branch as far as possible. The whole examination process is about 10~15 minutes. Because of the convenient operation, small trauma and visual perception of the breast tube endoscope, it is the first choice for the cause diagnosis of nipple discharge. Breast tube endoscopy is mainly applicable to the following situations:
1. All kinds of nipple discharge, especially for the patients with bloody nipple discharge and yellow nipple discharge, the incidence of neoplastic lesions in the breast duct is about 1/3~1/2. In addition, many patients with white nipple discharge are also caused by tumors in the breast duct, and all of them need surgical treatment after breast duct endoscopy;
2. The tumor in the areola area with nipple discharge, most of which are intraductal tumors or fibroadenomas, and are closely related to the breast duct. The breast duct endoscopy can identify the diseased breast duct, so as to guide the surgery to accurately remove the tumor and diseased breast duct, and reduce the chance of local recurrence after surgery;
3. In patients with plasma cell mastitis around the areola, plasma cell mastitis is caused by the blockage of the proximal end of the milk duct, and the accumulation of secretions, exfoliated cells and inflammatory cells in the milk duct, resulting in acute and chronic inflammation of the breast. The galactoscope can be used to irrigate and collect the exfoliated cells in the laticiferous duct for cytological examination and clear diagnosis; At the same time, it can also flush and dredge the diseased breast duct to achieve the purpose of drainage; In addition, if the inflammation is relatively limited, the diseased breast duct can also be identified under the breast duct microscope, and the diseased breast duct and local scar tissue can be removed surgically;
4. Breast pain is a type of mammary gland hyperplasia, which is partly caused by the blockage of the proximal mammary duct, which makes the distal mammary duct difficult to discharge and twist. Irrigation and unblocking of the mammary duct under the galactoscope are helpful to make a clear diagnosis and achieve certain therapeutic effect;
5. For patients with galactocele, the symptoms can be improved after the breast tube is unblocked.
